In addition to monument retailers, cemeteries and funeral homes, we also build (and host) sites for manufacturers (or granite suppliers).  Childs & Childs Granite Company approached us with a need to reach new markets, and provide sales tools for their retailers.  Sales tools their retailers enjoy include Design Mart's Online Catalogs & Monument Designer, which provides easy access to thousands of designs as well as the capability of personalizing monument designs for approval on the retail end.  Orders can be placed quicker and easier with the use of the Online Catalogs & Designer.  The company's own catalog is available for download in PDF format for Adobe Acrobat.  Childs & Childs recently told us they've already had several new retailers ordering from them because they found the company in a web search.  We always take care of meta keywords and meta descriptions, and we submit new sites to popular search engines.  All of these behind-the-scenes extras make all the difference in page ranking when potential customers are searching the web.

Hamilton Monuments works closely with Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  When they approached Design Mart about a web site for the Monument Company they wanted a special logo that had the same look and feel as the Funeral Home & Crematory.  We were careful to match the font, convert their logo, and place it on an attractive granite background.  When helping clients, they use Design Mart's Online Catalog & Monument Designer.

Welcome to the web Kentucky Monuments!

Kentucky Monuments recently opened new offices in two new areas, so it was important to let the public know where the new offices are located.  In addition to the contact information for each office, we added helpful search engine meta information to help searchers find the company if they type in the name of a city anywhere in the area.  Kentucky Monument uses our Online Catalog & Monument Designer as well as their own brochure, which can be downloaded from their Monuments page.

Design Mart recently helped five monument companies with their web sites.  All of these companies included the Online Monument Catalog & Monument Designer with their new sites to make it easier for customers and staff to browse catalogs and design monuments.  Heritage Memorials required a logo since they didn't have one already, and they were very please with what our studio did for them.  They also needed help registering their domain name.  Since their first choice was taken we helped them select www.heritagememorialsonline.com.  Old South and Chapel Rose Quarries requested that we use their trade show display in the design of their site, and our studio was happy to work with the images they provided to make it work.  Stoneflower Monuments also needed help registering their domain name, and we were able to secure the name they wanted.  Emile's Monuments needed a logo too.  They knew they wanted a tree, and they wanted a green color palette.  Our studio made it work very nicely.

Design Mart recently helped four monument companies and a funeral home with their web sites.  All of these companies included the Online Monument Catalog & Monument Designer with their new sites to make it easier for customers and staff to browse catalogs and design monuments.  Laguna Monument Company was a bit of an exception.  While the rest of the companies needed design and hosting, Laguna wanted us to rebuild their site to match their current site, but they wanted a content management system so they could make changes themselves.  Prior to calling Design Mart they had rely on a California company to make changes for them, and it was taking a long time - even for simple changes.  Shirley has been pleased with her new site.  You can check it out at:

Custom Monument Artwork For Gerber, Flexi, Corel, MonuCad, And More!

Design Mart's studio can match photos and rubbings of any stone for restoration or creating additional monuments for a family's cemetery space.  In most cases our studio can work right on top of your photo for an exact match.  For best results you'll want to shoot the monument straight on.  Photos taken at an angle are distorted, and duplications can't be precise.  Here are some examples of recent work from our studio.

A customer recently approached us about creating artwork of the raising of the US flag on Mt. Suribachi on the island of Iwo Jima.  This project involved creating a full-size pencil sketch followed by a pen/ink drawing.  That drawing was scanned, cleaned and formatted so it could be emailed to the monument company for a community veteran memorial.  They were able to cut stencil from the emailed file and erect the monument in time for the community's recognition of their veterans.
